Job Summary: The Trade-Up Sales position is responsible for generating vehicle upgrade and acquisition opportunities by proactively engaging service drive customers and existing dealership customers.This role focuses on: Converting service customers into vehicle sales Acquiring desirable pre-owned inventory directly from customers Supporting used inventory needs through internal sourcing Increasing customer retention and reducing lost-to-market trades

Requirements

  • Previous sales, customer service, or automotive dealership experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with customers and team members.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a drive to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Professional appearance and positive, customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn dealership software and CRM systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong knowledge of current new car inventory, incentives, and Trade-Up offers.
  • Review daily service appointments using the Care Connect Program portal to analyze equity positions and identify qualified customers.
  • Initiate face-to-face conversations to introduce Trade-Up Program and present upgrade opportunities on digital handouts to eligible customers.
  • Explain benefits of trading up to a new Subaru, including updated safety features.
  • Collaborate with service and sales departments to ensure a smooth handoff.
  • Capture and log all customer interactions in CRM with detailed notes and outcomes.
  • Follow up with leads and interested, unsold customers and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Provide backup support on the showroom floor when scheduled/required.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner that supports our culture and the Subaru Love Promise.
  • Schedule in-dealership appointments and track activity using our CRM.
  • Present trade values and monthly payment options to customers.
  • Manage process for outbound emails, text messages and phone calls prior to and post customer service visits.
