About The Position
Federated Hermes is seeking a Trade Coordinator to support the Separately Managed Accounts (SMA) Fixed Income trading team. This role is crucial for the implementation of trades across various investment strategies within the SMA framework. The Trade Coordinator will be responsible for a range of tasks that ensure the smooth execution and allocation of trades, as well as the maintenance of accounts. The position involves analyzing SMA accounts, generating orders, and performing daily maintenance trading. The Trade Coordinator will assist in trade allocation and settlement, ensuring that block trades are communicated effectively to external sponsors. This includes addressing any allocation issues that may arise with sponsors and broker/dealers. Regular checks will be performed to monitor cash and security drift across strategies, and the coordinator will be responsible for updating and reconciling models on a consistent basis. Additionally, the role includes providing support for day-to-day workflow inquiries and account maintenance issues, as well as participating in ad hoc projects to support the trading team. Candidates for this position should possess a Bachelor's degree in Math, Accounting, or a related business field, or have relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Internship experience and a foundational understanding of the financial industry are preferred. Strong mathematical skills, proficiency in Excel, and some coding experience, particularly in Python, are also desirable. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of working independently, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
