Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with US trade regulations (ITAR, EAR) in a professional role.

  • Prior Empowered Official (EO) experience.
  • Ability to learn different product groups and their related capabilities.
  • Effective coordination of simultaneous activities and prioritization of multiple tasks.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity and discretion.
  • Adept with utilizing computer software applications, e.g. Adobe, MS Excel, MS Word.
  • Experience with TeamCenter, EASE is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Empowered Official (EO) to develop, implement and manage export/import compliance and controls.
  • Determine U.S. Government requirements for daily export/import activities.
  • Process shipment paperwork using EASE for all exports of hardware.
  • Submit initial drafts and final license, agreement, and general correspondence to GTG.
  • Ensure compliance with approved license applications, agreements, and permits/licenses.
  • Notify legal counsel and Segment Trade Director of any potential violations.
  • Provide technical assistance for investigation and disclosure of potential violations.
  • Develop and conduct export/import and ITAR training.
  • Review export/import activities for potential inaccuracies.
  • Conduct self-audits as required by corporate procedures.
  • Work with shipping carriers and brokers on export/import clearances.
  • Ensure export of controlled technical data is approved under U.S. Government laws.
  • Complete necessary training and attend conferences to remain current with policies and regulations.
