About the position

The Trade Compliance Specialist will ensure that all import and export activities comply with government regulations and Customs. This role serves as a resource for the company regarding import/export matters and administers the Corporate Trade Compliance program, processes, and training.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting U.S. trade regulations (ITAR, EAR, OFAC, ATF, and Customs) and providing guidance to internal customers.
• Interfacing with Program Managers and internal functions to ensure compliance with U.S. Trade regulations.
• Drafting, submitting, and managing export licenses and technical assistance agreements.
• Reviewing and approving international shipments and foreign travel to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Providing annual trade compliance training.
• Assisting with internal audits and reporting violations to Corporate.
• Drafting voluntary self-disclosures as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in International Relations, Business Administration, or Engineering.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in U.S. trade regulations (ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and Customs).
• Practical knowledge of international shipping and Customs procedures.
• Experience with D-Trade, SNAP-R, and ACE.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience in export classification of goods, services, and information.
