The Gund Company: Take Care of Each Other, Take Care of the Customer and Take Care of the Business Job Summary The Purchasing and Logistics Assistant (IMMEX) will be able to perform tasks in multiple areas of the logistics area, but will be a subject matter expert in one or more areas. Purchasing and Logistics Assistant (IMMEX) will ensure the monitoring of the IMMEX system, the availability of raw materials, the payment of the corresponding taxes and the departure with documentation of the merchandise that must have the characteristics and requirements of the IMMEX program, in a way that allows our facilities to respond to our customers in each segment of the industry we serve while minimizing the company's working capital investment.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization and with Suppliers.
  • Have strong project management skills to be able to implement automated systems from the manual systems that the Company has.
  • IMMEX and VAT certification control and follow up.
  • Strong information systems skills, including using business systems and Excel to communicate critical information across the enterprise.
  • A strong desire to implement new information sharing procedures, policies, and reports that improve procurement systems.
  • Attention to detail and strong desire to meet customer requirements both internally and externally.
  • Ability to handle complaints, resolve disputes, and resolve complaints and conflicts.
  • Proactive and constantly updated on foreign trade issues
  • Engineering or Bachelor's degree in foreign trade or administrative areas
  • Minimum experience of 3 years
  • Knowledge of incoterms, import-export processes, pedimentos. customs procedures, international logistics.
  • Knowledge at IMMEX.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of reports and logs.
  • Review of customs documents (definitive and temporary)
  • IMMEX inventory control management (ANEX24 and 31)
  • Intermediate Foreign Trade (Customs Law)
  • Own and execute the material transfer process, with the guidance of the purchasing specialist to ensure the availability of the same.
  • Interact with suppliers on a daily basis
  • Review inventories and place orders as needed
  • Dealing with unsupplied and/or damaged material or goods, shipments with decreased orders or over orders
  • Own and execute the Inventory-Level Corrective Action Process in Mexico
  • Own and execute the Inventory Disposition Process in Mexico
  • Assist in the determination of offal material sizes that should be discarded rather than returned to the warehouse
  • Own and execute the vendor establishment process and ensure timely and accurate updates to the parts maintenance period
  • Own and execute Supplier Lead Time Change Management Processes, Supplier Price Change Management, and maintain accurate and timely determination of Material Costs according to changes in price and exchange rates
  • Work with the sales and service team as well as the production team to coordinate the flow of material through the production cycle to meet customer requirements
  • Provide support to the Strategic Sourcing team as needed
  • Assist with the Corrective Action process for vendor-related issues
  • Document supplier interactions using CRM
  • Maintain process documentation and provide training materials that allow others to manage the process with limited direction
  • Lead/facilitate process improvement activities using lean tools and techniques
  • To keep the physical and electronic file of foreign trade up to date.
