About The Position

Colony Brands Inc. is one of the world's largest and most successful direct marketing catalog and e-Commerce companies. Our company has grown from a premier mail-order cheese company to include a diverse portfolio or affiliates, brands and products ranging from apparel to kitchen appliances, while maintaining our roots as a private, customer-centric business based in Monroe. We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Trade Compliance Analyst to support our growing Global Compliance team. If you have a positive, customer-service oriented demeanor - this could be the position for you! Duties will include daily coordination with customs brokers to properly declare import entry data to U.S. Customs with respect to valuation, classification, trade program verification, and adherence to all government regulations for all Colony Brands units. As the Trade Compliance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or related field with a strong interest in international business/trade compliance is helpful not required.
  • Related business or internship experience
  • Project management skills with a process improvement focus demonstrating the ability to prioritize and drive forward multiple initiatives and objectives in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, initiative, decision making skills and the ability to work on a team and independently to drive strategic results.
  • Experience with MSOffice (specifically advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
  • This role requires you to physically work on site at our Monroe, WI headquarters.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Customs Specialist preferred (or willing to obtain within 2 years)

Responsibilities

  • Shared responsibility for determination of harmonized tariff schedule (HS) classification for imported goods across multiple business units, including maintenance of the HS import database.
  • Participate in various cost savings initiatives and strategic planning sessions to support Colony Brands strategic goals and objectives.
  • Assist in updating all internal systems and databases with correct classification information for compliance and customs clearance purposes.
  • Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to build awareness and internal partnerships for Colony Brands compliance activity.
