About The Position

CDL DRIVER Home every night! Anchor Fabrication LaVergne, TN 1st shift Anchor Fabrication, a world-class metal fabrication located in LaVergne, TN is seeking a motivated CDL driver to join our team. This position delivers finished goods and products by tractor-trailer and or box truck to various customers. When not assigned a route, the employee will be responsible for providing support on the loading dock, which involves the operation of electric and propane powered industrial vehicles (Tow Motors). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Determine item to be shipped by reviewing the pick list · Ensures the appropriate items are correctly packed, crated and properly banded for safe transit · Ensures materials are delivered on time · Move material by tow motor to staging area or directly on to truck · Demonstrate the ability to safely couple trailer to tractor and connect the appropriate brake lines and electrical connectors · Consistently demonstrates the commitment to provide excellent service to customers · May be required to assist in the unloading of truck at customer’s place of business · Accurately completes and maintains a DOT driver’s log, bills of lading, and receipts obtained while on driving route · Obtains the proper documentation on material pick-ups · Follows appropriate DOT regulations while operating tractor-trailer · Review move tags in order to determine proper size skid to build for the part being shipped · Place parts on the skid and secure in accordance with the customers’ requirements · Operate a variety of powered industrial trucks (tow motor) · Work Scheduled Overtime as needed.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) to three (3) years’ experience operating trucks with a minimum of 26,001 pounds per gross vehicle weight
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Current CDL
  • Ability to Commute: La Vergne, TN 37086 (Required)
