About The Position

Tractor Trailer Driver - Internal UAW Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense is currently looking for a Tractor Trailer Driver in Ridley Park, PA to join their team in Ridley Park, PA. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Transport general cargo, aircraft fuel, aircraft, aircraft parts, and plant and tooling equipment to Boeing and Boeing vendor locations, to include Interstate travel. Prepare tractor-trailer for transport of assigned products and/or equipment. Obtain shipping documents, load cargo, verify proper positioning of cargo, and ensure that products/equipment are protected in accordance with applicable state and federal Interstate trucking regulations. Deliver cargo to the designated location and unload/reload as directed. This position may require the handling of hazardous materials. Load and deliver gasoline to locations where fueling of aircraft is required. Inspect truck filters and related equipment to ensure open passage of fuel. Discharge the required amount of fuel from the tank truck into the aircraft (or vice versa). Ensure tractor-trailer tires, fluids and systems meet the prescribed levels and are operational. Change wheels (except dual type) as required. Maintain written and electronic records, to include, but not limited to, mileage, stops made, fuel consumption, quantities loaded and/or discharged, repair status, hours worked and vehicle service information. Perform work in accordance with oral or written instructions and in conformance with Company standards of safety, workmanship, and good housekeeping practice. May provide instruction to employees designated to assist with the above duties. Nice To Haves

  • Previous Experience driving a tractor trailer
  • High school diploma/GED and/or vocational/trade school training preferred.
