Individuals must possess a commercial driver's license (CDL A) with tractor- trailer and air brake endorsements. Individuals must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience operating a tractor-trailer with a non-synchronized manual transmission. Must have full knowledge of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations, safety regulations, satisfactorily demonstrate both pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and be proficient in cargo securement techniques. The individual will operate flatbed and box tractor-trailers as well as straight trucks. Individuals must be available for emergency overtime including storm events and emergent requests and must possess a safe work ethic. Individuals must also have the ability to obtain forklift certifications for several forklift classifications. The successful candidate must pass an assessment that is administered by the Eversource Energy Transportation and Training Departments. The individual must be flexible and a team player, will work directly with customers delivering to substations and other job sites as well as storeroom deliveries; will also work the entire Materials Logistics team including other drivers, stock handlers, analysts, administrative support and supervision. The salary range for this position starts at Step 1 $31.70 and progresses in accordance with the union contract.
