About The Position

To drive tractor-trailer vehicle to designated locations and operate mechanized loading/unloading equipment. This position requires effective communication verbally in a time-sensitive manner in a noisy operations environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 6 months FedEx Express experience preferred.
• Class A CDL learner's permit or Class A CDL required prior to submitting application.
• Must be able to obtain proper licenses & endorsements within 30 days of training.
• 3 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Ability to drive manual transmission preferred.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight > 75 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Good human relations & verbal communication skills.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with traffic safety officials.

Nice To Haves

• Customer contact & package handling experience preferred.
• Neat appearance since customer contact is involved.
