About The Position

The position involves driving a tractor-trailer vehicle to designated locations and operating mechanized loading/unloading equipment. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. This is a safety-sensitive position covered by FMCSA regulations, requiring a medical exam and compliance with alcohol and drug testing protocols.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Six (6) months FedEx Express experience preferred.
• Ability to drive manual transmission preferred.
• Ability to operate mechanized loading/GSE.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with traffic safety officials.

Nice To Haves

• Customer contact and package handling experience preferred.
• Neat appearance since customer contact is involved.
