About The Position

The Tractor Assembly Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing all tractor assembly operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This position supervises approximately 28 assembly employees, coordinates daily workflow, manages materials and inventory, supports shipping and service operations, and ensures compliance with company policies and production schedules. The role serves as a key liaison between Operations, HR, Purchasing, Service, and Shipping to maintain seamless plant operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3–5 years of manufacturing or assembly experience
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of assembly processes and production flow
  • Ability to read and interpret production schedules and work instructions
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems (ERP, production tracking systems, Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily tractor assembly operations
  • Delegate daily tasks and assign assembly line jobs through the Bad Boy internal system
  • Work with the Operations Manager to determine daily and monthly production needs
  • Determine staffing requirements and collaborate with HR to hire employees to meet monthly goals
  • Monitor daily production output to ensure alignment with Operations plans
  • Ensure employees follow all SOPs, safety standards, and FIFO processes
  • Conduct daily start-up meetings to communicate production goals and safety reminders
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members
  • Train new employees and cross-train team members
  • Manage attendance, performance evaluations, and corrective actions
  • Communicate employee corrective actions with HR and administer disciplinary measures when required
  • Work with the Operations Manager to forecast current and upcoming monthly material needs
  • Pull required materials from the warehouse for production
  • Order replacement tooling for assemblies
  • Track material orders and inbound containers; update tracking sheets
  • Monitor fluid usage and request replenishment as needed
  • Order batteries per weekly production plan
  • Communicate with Purchasing regarding received materials
  • Collaborate with Purchasing to resolve material quantity discrepancies
  • Receive tires and decals into Syspro
  • Initiate and manage monthly inventory counts and corrections
  • Manage floor space for received materials and assembled tractors within the plant
  • Oversee outbound tractor shipments to ensure timely delivery
  • Ensure outbound crate returns are loaded and shipped correctly
  • Perform Shipping & Receiving Supervisor duties when needed
  • Train Shipping Supervisor on all required job functions
  • Communicate with Service Manager regarding repair priorities
  • Secure necessary materials and tooling for repair requirements
  • Monitor quality issues caused by employees and implement corrective actions
  • Communicate facility needs and issues with Larry Pinkston and Future Fuel
  • Open and secure plant gates daily
  • Enforce all safety policies and ensure OSHA and company compliance
  • Maintain 5S standards and organized work environment
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to increase productivity and reduce waste
  • Ensure accurate documentation of production data and reporting
