Requirements

  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Experience in managing the design of high-speed rail track systems
  • Knowledge of European rail standards (EN, TSI) and US standards (AREMA, AASHTO, ASTM)
  • Strong project management skills and experience in procurement processes
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and feasibility studies
  • Experience in preparing technical reports and construction documentation
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

  • Experience in high-speed rail projects
  • Technical training or certifications in rail engineering
  • Language skills or soft skills training

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the design of high-speed rail track systems (+300 km/h), from preliminary engineering through construction delivery
  • Develop track component specifications and interface requirements with civil works, systems, and rolling stock
  • Manage procurement processes and coordinate with suppliers of track components and materials
  • Oversee track construction logistics, staging, and quality control
  • Ensure compliance with European rail standards (EN, TSI) and relevant US standards (AREMA, AASHTO, ASTM)
  • Conduct risk assessments, feasibility studies, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Prepare and review technical reports, design drawings, and construction documentation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, structures, systems, operations) to ensure seamless project integration
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the client throughout design and construction phases
  • Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge transfer in high-speed rail design and construction best practices
