About The Position

The Track Hoe Operator is responsible for operating a tracked excavator in an aggregate environment to support daily production operations. This role plays a critical part in material extraction, site preparation, and maintaining efficient workflow within quarry and pit operations. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong equipment control, safety awareness, and the ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating a track hoe/excavator (aggregate or construction environment preferred)
• Strong understanding of equipment operation and machine control
• Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment upkeep
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Proficient in operating tracked excavators (track hoes) with strong control and precision
• Ability to read grade stakes, follow site plans, and meet production goals
• Strong safety awareness with the ability to identify and avoid jobsite hazards
• Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1–3 years of experience operating a track hoe or similar heavy equipment

Nice To Haves

• Experience in aggregate, quarry, or construction environments preferred
• Familiarity with OSHA and/or MSHA safety standards is a plus

Responsibilities

• Operate tracked excavators to excavate, move, and load aggregate materials
• Utilize hydraulic hammer attachments for rip rap production
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure safe operation
• Follow site plans and maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment
