We are seeking a Track Engineer for a full-time, hybrid position based in Las Vegas, NV. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and construction of the first P3 high-speed rail project in the United States — Brightline West, connecting Las Vegas, NV to Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Responsibilities include supporting the design and technical delivery of high-speed rail track systems, overseeing track construction logistics, coordinating with suppliers and contractors, and ensuring compliance with international and US standards. The role requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and direct technical support to the client (Track Contractor). This position offers a mix of in-office and remote work flexibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in rail track design. Experience in High Speed Rail (+300 km/h, +186 mph) and Amtrak/Class I Railroads is a plus
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience developing track components specifications, managing suppliers and designing track construction logistics
  • Understanding of technical feasibility, risk analysis, and mitigation strategies
  • Experience with relevant software, such as Office, CAD and BIM tools
  • Knowledge of Rail European Standards and US standards (AREMA, AASHTO, ASTM) and rail market

  • CA and/or NV PE license preferred (or ability to obtain in the near term)

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design of high-speed rail track systems (+300 km/h, +186 mph), from preliminary engineering through construction delivery, including track components design
  • Develop track component specifications and interface requirements with civil works, rail systems, and rolling stock
  • Coordinate with suppliers of track components and materials
  • Oversee track construction logistics, staging, and quality control
  • Ensure compliance with European rail standards (EN, TSI) and relevant US standards (AREMA, AASHTO, ASTM)
  • Prepare and review technical reports, design drawings, and construction documentation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, structures, rail systems, operations) to ensure seamless project integration
