About The Position

Assist in the preparation of student athletes for meaningful athletic competition through instruction in the fundamental skills, strategies and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual/team success and at the same time, receive instruction that will lead to the formulation of good citizenship, pride of accomplishment, good sportsmanship, self-discipline and self-confidence.

Requirements

• Coaching experience at Middle/High School level preferred.
• Possess a current First Aid Card/CPR Card or complete a district approved athletic training/sports medicine course equivalent to the Red Cross first aid training or be enrolled in that type of class.
• Pole vault certification.
• A Washington State Patrol Criminal History Information Form, required by RCW 43.43.830, on file in the Athletic Office.
• High school graduate and at least 19 years of age.
• SPI Moral Character Supplement Form 4020b completed and on file.
• Annually attend a blood-borne pathogens training.
• Annually attend a WIAA approved rules clinic for the sport being coached.
• Certificated personnel preferred.
