Track and Field Coach
About The Position
QUALIFICATIONS Born-again Christian and credible Christian role model whose godly lifestyle and character demonstrate obedience to God and the Holy Scriptures. Accepts and supports the school’s statement of faith and indicates a continuing sense of God’s direction in working at Lighthouse Christian School. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Begin each practice with prayer. Coach with the philosophy of the School and Athletic Department’s Mission Statement in mind. Establish and communicate clear expectations for all student-athletes. Provide supervision, working with the head coach, at all times for all team activities. Assist with track and field workouts/practices for students K - 8th grade Collaborate with head and other assistant coaches. Shall take the first aid kit with Lighthouse Christian Student Medical History Forms to each contest. Coaches must exercise a delicate balance regarding the treatment of confidential information including but not limited to medical information, pickup restrictions, and emergency contacts. ESTIMATED TIME COMMITMENT Season Dates: Mid-March through end of April Practices 3 days/week. Most likely 3:30-5PM, pending confirmation from practice site. There will be 4 meet dates during the season. This is a temporary, part-time position. Benefits include a collaborative and Christ-centered work environment and paid sick time off.
