About The Position

Our Mission: The mission of the La Center School District is to create a supportive learning environment that empowers students to reach their fullest potential. Position Description: Our coaches support the district mission by: Coaching and developing athletes on the Track & Field team Working with the head coach to continue to build a positive environment for kids Helping the head coach organize and plan for home track meets Helping the High School team host their track meets. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Experience coaching track and field at the Middle School level and beyond
• Current CPR/First-Aid Card on file prior to the first day of coaching athletes
• Successful candidate must submit a Washington State Sexual Misconduct Disclosure and undergo state and federal background checks including fingerprinting at the applicant's expense

Responsibilities

• Coaching and developing athletes on the Track & Field team
• Working with the head coach to continue to build a positive environment for kids
• Helping the head coach organize and plan for home track meets
• Helping the High School team host their track meets
• Other duties as assigned

Benefits

• Eligible employees may accrue sick leave at the rate of one (1) hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked under Washington State law.
