About The Position
Under the direction of the Lead Operations Ranger, this position performs highly complex (senior-level) construction, restoration, renovation, and maintenance work. Responsible for the proper operation, maintenance and repair of the water treatment plant and wastewater facilities for Enchanted Rock SNA. Responsible for regulatory compliance in all utility operations to include completion of required forms and reports as required by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD). Conducts or coordinates water laboratory testing procedures and general maintenance and cleaning of water facilities. Performs all phases of maintenance and repairs to other park facilities, equipment, grounds, and electrical and plumbing systems utilizing equipment such as hand tools, power tools, mowers, tractors, and other machinery. Responsible for preparing reports, revenue collection, training and directing the work of select park personnel, accounting, providing visitor services, patrolling, and enforcement of park rules and regulations. Available for emergency call outs as needed. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and branch rules, regulations and procedures.
