Under the direction of the Park Superintendent, this position performs advanced (senior-level) assistant park/historic site management work including the effective management, safety and security of Cedar Hill State Park. Provides assistance in directing, organizing, and planning of overall park administration, maintenance, marketing, training, programs and activities. Responsible for supervising personnel, coordination of the maintenance program; coordination of the fiscal control program; facilitation of special events; coordination and oversight of the volunteer program; coordination and oversight of public relations; customer service; interpretive programs; safety programs; resource protection and management. Works closely in facilitating and coordinating activities and projects with park superintendent, park personnel, park hosts, volunteers and other alternative workforces. Responds to emergencies and after hours calls during and after scheduled hours. Serves as Park Superintendent in their absence. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures.
