About The Position

The Assistant Park/Historic Site Superintendent III at Texas Parks and Wildlife is responsible for the management and operation of Enchanted Rock State Natural Area. This senior-level position involves overseeing park preservation, interpretation, maintenance, and community outreach programs. The role requires strong leadership skills to supervise staff and volunteers, manage budgets, and ensure safety and security within the park.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three years of experience in natural/cultural resource management, interpretation, education, general maintenance, public safety, or marketing.
• One year of supervisory or team leader experience.
• Valid State driver's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Park Administration, Recreation and Parks, Wildlife/Fisheries Science, Natural and/or Cultural Resource Management, Forestry, Biology, Anthropology, Archeology, or History.
• Two years of customer service experience.
• Experience in revenue or budget management.
