About The Position

The person hired for the role of Toyota Key Account Manager will be responsible for leading and growing share of 3M’s Automotive portfolio at Toyota North America. This sales professional will maintain and grow account relationships at all levels including direct interface with Toyota Engineering, Design, Product Development, Purchasing as well as Program Management located in Michigan and other locations as required. They will lead the creation of global design standards, material specification approvals and the global implementation of those specification approvals to grow 3M’s Automotive business. As a Toyota Key Account Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Driving sales growth of 3M’s Automotive product portfolio at Toyota North America and with applicable Tier suppliers in coordination with global team. Developing applications and advance the commercialization of new products in the Automotive segment by directly interfacing with all levels of Toyota including Purchasing, Design, Development Engineering and Program Management. Identifying, forecasting and executing target sales penetration of Toyota vehicle platforms. Responsible for identifying new commercialization opportunities in conjunction with Toyota and 3M portfolio teams. Utilizing effective leadership skills, product knowledge and market knowledge to solve complex system challenges with 3M solutions. Collaborating with the global key account team and manage opportunity pipeline with appropriate CRM tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
  • Three (3) years of combined experience in sales, engineering and/or military in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Current, valid Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in business, engineering or manufacturing from an accredited institution.
  • Five (5) years of sales, engineering or program management experience with Tier 1s and OEMs in the Automotive market.
  • Excellent presentation, organizational and relationship building skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Competent in use of Microsoft Office, Salesforce and related sales software.

Responsibilities
