About The Position

Kendall Toyota of Bend is looking for Apprentice Technicians to join the team. An Apprentice Technician is a training position to become an Automotive Technician and associates must be able to safely operate shop equipment, demonstrate the ability to learn and repeat basic mechanical repairs, and comply with Kendall Auto Group, OSHA and EPA policies. Work is performed indoors in a shop environment, tool usage includes mechanic's hand and power tools that produce significant vibration and force, standing and walking will be required for entire work shift in order to complete job duties. Pushing, pulling, crouching, squatting, reaching, and kneeling will be required frequently to access all parts of vehicles being worked on. Lifting as well as pushing and pulling weights and forces from 20 to 100 pounds occasionally required.

Requirements

• Basic lube tech training or tech schooling preferred
• Ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles both automatic and manual transmissions
• Valid driver license and good driving record required

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on vehicles
• Inspect, replenish and fill vehicle fluids
• Perform vehicle inspections
• Document work and hours per company policies
• Test drive vehicles to identify completion of repairs
• Make recommendations for additional work needed
• Complete basic repairs such as tire replacements, balances and rotations
