About The Position

A Toxicologist at CTEH provides essential support in the areas of toxicology, risk assessment, industrial hygiene, and emergency response. This role may involve participation as a member of an emergency response team that responds to chemical release emergencies. The Toxicologist will be responsible for assembling, preparing, and analyzing data related to toxicological, environmental, and human health risk assessments. Additionally, they will provide support to Project, Senior, and Principal Toxicologists, as well as CTEH project managers. Utilizing their knowledge across various scientific disciplines, the Toxicologist may conduct and/or supervise sampling, monitoring, and information collection. This position is located at CTEH's main branch office in North Little Rock, AR, and represents a career track opportunity starting at an entry-level toxicologist with potential advancement to senior levels based on experience and education. The role requires availability for sudden and extended travel as a member of an emergency response team to chemical and/or natural disasters at clients' requests. This includes overseeing and conducting air, water, and/or soil sampling, meteorological monitoring, and other scientific data collection. The Toxicologist will also provide data management and evaluation support to project managers in the areas of toxicology, risk assessment, industrial hygiene, and emergency response. Participation in business development activities, including assisting in the development of articles and presentations, is also expected. The Toxicologist will evaluate project needs and develop strategies to address issues related to each project, prepare written reports summarizing scientific data and findings, perform risk calculations, and compile and critically review scientific/technical data and literature. Acting as a point of contact for clients and obtaining appropriate training to develop project management skills are also key responsibilities of this role.
