About The Position

Ontivity, Legacy Division tower technicians support all aspects of telecommunication installations including the construction and maintenance of telecommunications towers and structures. Requirements

  • Read and understand construction drawings, piping diagrams, job specifications, mounting specs, testing procedures, etc.
  • Willing to work independently under limited supervision
  • Provide communication and customer service that is white-glove
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements set forth in ANSI Z359 for fall protection gear
  • Must be at least 18 years old, have a valid drivers license
  • Able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and Motor Vehicle Record check
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening screening and random tests there after

Nice To Haves

  • Current OSHA 10hr certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Must value safety over and above all other considerations
  • Perform work on the tower while ensuring that a safe, quality installation is performed, including rigging, hoisting, landing, fastening, load hopping, etc.
  • Install equipment including masts, clamping, bracing, supports, antennas, RRUs, cabling, bolting, assist in shooting proper azimuth within tolerances, labeling, picture-taking, documentation
  • At the instruction of Tower Crew Leader, perform coax, fiber, lines, and hybrid cable installations, connector installation, sweep and testing assisting, weather proofing, color-coding, labeling, etc. connect coax feed lines and jumpers per piping diagrams, and support and fasten adequately for a quality, lasting installation
  • Complete grounding, terminations, fastening, proper bolting and antioxidant use, support of leads, cad-welding as required, etc.
  • Assist with maintenance of vehicles and equipment, tool inventory, etc.
