This position requires the employee to excel as a top hand and manage all aspects of the tower top, or possess extremely strong technical abilities to support the Tower Foreman and lead a two-man tiger team as needed. The primary responsibilities include the build and maintenance of cell towers, small cells, oDAS, and other wireless equipment and structures. The employee must provide support to the foreman on tower top or act as the RF technical lead. Skills in PIM and sweep testing, as well as site troubleshooting, integration, and turn-up, are essential. The role also involves ensuring quality installation prior to site completion and acting as a secondary lead for maintenance and troubleshooting calls. Professional interaction with subcontractors, safety personnel, and customers is crucial, along with a strong attention to quality and detail. Candidates should have Sprint and/or AT&T integration experience and certifications, with a minimum of 2 years of continuous experience as a tower tech or RF tech. The ability to climb and be ComTrained is required, along with a valid driver's license and the willingness to travel as needed. Proficiency in reading blueprints, specifications, and MOPS is necessary, as well as excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. The role demands physical endurance, including the ability to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, and climb for extended periods. Experience installing equipment for major carriers such as AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, or T-Mobile is preferred, along with a proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Overtime, including nights and weekends, may be required, and excellent computer skills are essential.
