About The Position

GENERAL JOB DUTIES: Assist with rigging operations of crane erections, climbs and dismantles as directed by the Field E&D Superintendent and other work as may be assigned in the field or facility. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The fundamental duties of this job include each of the following: Assist with erection, climbs, and dismantles to cranes and personnel/material hoists. Assists Field E&D Superintendent and District Service Manager with maintenance of cranes and hoists when not assigned to a jobsite. Provide assistance with proper loading of equipment on trucks for transporting. Understand rigging procedures regarding slings, shackles, chokers etc. Applicable knowledge of OSHA safety regulations as they apply to crane and hoist erection, dismantle, climbing, and repair. Complies with Company and Regulatory safety requirements and specifications on jobsites, the district yard, and shop. Notifies Field E&D Superintendent of unsafe conditions or practices or the District Service Manager if Field E&D Superintendent is not available. Receive and inspect all incoming equipment for damage and/or missing components. Submission of required service reports, expense reports, time sheets and other documents required. All such documents must be processed and submitted within designated timeframes established by the Field E&D Superintendent and the Corporate office. Work overtime when required to accommodate the needs of the business. Effectively communicate with co-workers, customers and vendors in a professional business environment, demonstrating a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. Work in a collaborative manner with all personnel to ensure tasks are completed timely. Maintain confidential information in a professional and respectful manner. Demonstrates a “can-do” attitude by being self-driven, personable, and dependable. Respectful and appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication style to express ideas, thoughts, and feelings to everyone while performing for/or representing the Company. Successful problem-solving skills, including the identification, resolution, prevention of problems, and being a good listener. Detail-oriented with an ability to plan and prioritize work activities with a focus on quality and timeliness. Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and is able to multi-task and deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events. Ensure lifting equipment is in safe operating condition prior to use. Follow all Company safety rules, policies, and procedures at all times, including proper usage of Company-supplied PPE as required, including hard hats, safety glasses, body harnesses, etc. Represent the Company in a professional manner, which includes wearing of Company supplied Morrow Branded shirts or uniforms, and proper maintenance of Company vehicles, tools, and equipment.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate all yard and shop equipment.
  • Ability and willingness to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Requirement to attend training courses and seminars as requested by the Company.
  • Requirement to maintain a valid State driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
