Our experienced crews construct state-of-the-art tower and network facilities for major PCS cellular carriers, private and public enterprises, and public safety agencies and utilities. Based in Fort Morgan, Colorado, the Tower Construction Manager provides direct field leadership and operational oversight for telecommunications construction projects. This role is responsible for running crews directly and owning field execution across assigned projects. The Construction Manager maintains consistent presence in the field to support active job sites, oversee production, ensure safety compliance, and drive schedule adherence. This is not a solely office-based position. Travel and field engagement are essential components of this role. This position is accountable for crew performance, safety outcomes, quality control, cost management, and timely project delivery. The Construction Manager allocates field resources, supervises Foremen and Tower Technicians, and ensures work is executed in alignment with company standards and carrier requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in construction management, telecommunications, or related field.
  • Telecommunications tower construction experience required.
  • Experience managing field crews and overseeing multiple active job sites.
  • Strong understanding of tower builds, structural modifications, R&R programs, carrier integrations, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work across multiple databases and systems to track milestones, timelines, and project documentation.
  • Ability to generate reports capturing critical timelines and relevant project details.
  • Willingness and ability to work in active outdoor construction environments and travel frequently.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record for the past 3–5 years, valid driver's license, acceptable criminal background check, and clean substance screening.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision, leadership, and performance management of Foremen and Tower Technicians.
  • Allocate crews and field resources across projects to optimize productivity and meet schedules.
  • Maintain regular on-site presence across active telecommunications construction projects.
  • Manage daily production targets and hold crews accountable for execution and quality.
  • Approve timecards and monitor labor utilization and overtime exposure.
  • Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety standards on all job sites.
  • Accountable for field safety performance including incident prevention, reporting, and corrective action implementation.
  • Monitor project schedules and proactively address delays or operational constraints.
  • Track labor budgets and field cost exposure to ensure adherence to approved project budgets.
  • Coordinate with engineering, warehouse, and project management teams to ensure materials and equipment are available and properly deployed.
  • Manage subcontractors to ensure compliance with safety, scope, and schedule requirements.
  • Conduct pre-construction meetings, site walks, and final inspections.
  • Ensure accurate project documentation including daily reports, photo documentation, and project closeout deliverables.
  • Serve as primary escalation point for field-related issues.
  • Mentor and develop Foremen and Tower Technicians to build internal bench strength and succession planning.
  • Provide regular operational updates to executive leadership highlighting production, risks, and corrective actions.
