You will communicate with dispatchers, respond to accidents or breakdowns, safely secure vehicles, and transport them to their destinations.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
Pass DOT physical and drug screen
Pass background check
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs

Nice To Haves

Prior towing experience is a plus but not required
Automotive repair experience is a bonus

Responsibilities

Safely secure disabled vehicles using straps, chains, winches, steering locks, and other devices, including using a tow mate for lights
Communicate effectively with advocates and demonstrate basic automotive knowledge
Perform minor repairs on-site, such as tire changes, part reconnections, or jumpstarts
Complete required paperwork and collect payment via credit card or cash
Follow MNDOT policies and procedures
