About The Position

Australian Venue Co is on the lookout for a versatile Tournant Chef to join our Gold Coast team. Our venues are some of the Coast's favourites - from the award-winning Burleigh Town Hotel, to the lively Hope Island Tavern, and the iconic Wallaby Hotel. Each has its own unique personality, but they're united by a passion for great food, vibrant service, and memorable experiences. As a Tournant Chef, you'll be the backbone of our kitchens - adaptable, hands-on, and ready to step into any section with confidence. You'll thrive in change, take command when needed, and ensure high standards of food quality and consistency across our venues.

Requirements

  • Proven chef experience, ideally across multiple sections in high-volume kitchens
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to take command when required
  • Flexible, adaptable, and calm under pressure
  • Positive attitude with a passion for teamwork and growth
  • Must have a valid driver's licence and access to a car

Responsibilities

  • Run any section of the kitchen with skill and confidence
  • Adapt quickly to changing needs and support the wider brigade
  • Maintain food quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Lead by example, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
