About The Position
The Northern Texas PGA (NTPGA) is offering an 18-week full-time internship in golf tournament administration for the Spring of 2025. This internship is designed for individuals who are passionate about the sport of golf and are looking to gain hands-on experience in event management and tournament operations. Interns will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Northern Texas PGA Junior Tour programming, which includes a variety of administrative and customer service duties. The internship will provide comprehensive training in golf tournament administration, event management, customer service, and professional development, equipping interns with valuable skills for their future careers in sports administration. Interns will be expected to work primarily from the NTPGA office in Frisco, Texas, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of occasional weekend events. The internship will require interns to contact host facility professional staff to collect and confirm tournament information, work with tournament management software (BlueGolf) to create pairings and manage registrations, and assist junior golfers, parents, caddies, and spectators by providing superior-quality customer service. Additionally, interns will be responsible for assembling tournament information packets, supporting various Junior Tour programs, and enforcing Junior Tour Rules and Regulations. This role will also involve providing support to select Section and Foundation operations through various on-site responsibilities as needed.
