The Tourism Data Manager primarily works with the marketing team at the Montana Department of Commerce to maximize the team's efficiency and effectiveness in the competitive destination marketing landscape. This position oversees data partnerships, coordinates projects that involve outside research and data agencies, and performs data analysis focused on marketing strategies and the economic impacts of visitation to Montana. The analysis conducted in this role utilizes a variety of unique and exciting data sources such as ITRR's Montana nonresident travel data and reports, aggregated mobile device location and movement, aggregated card spending, hotel and short-term lodging performance, and others.
