About The Position

Warren Miller Entertainment is seeking a highly organized and strategic Tour Operations & Strategy Consultant to manage critical research, budgeting, and logistical planning for upcoming film tours and special activations. This is a temporary, independent contractor position focused on expanding venue reach, optimizing international partnerships, and developing immersive event experiences. The assignment will start ASAP and wrap up no later than August 1st.

Requirements

  • Professional experience in event production, tour management, or operations.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience building complex project budgets.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, MS Office and Slack.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work independently to meet tight deadlines (e.g., November tour-hold goals).

Responsibilities

  • Venue & Market Research:
  • Conduct research for new venues, specifically targeting locations that eliminate ticket fees and screens (e.g., breweries, retailers, museums) to create unique VIP experiences.
  • Secure date holds for identified venues.
  • Perform location scouting for 2027 Jan–Mar winter sessions for budgetary planning.
  • International & Canadian Expansion:
  • Conduct comprehensive research on Canadian tour costs, including estimates for venues, travel, staffing, partnerships, and T&E.
  • Identify and vet new international licensees.
  • Financial Planning & Budgeting:
  • Update the Tour Estimate doc with venue and operational cost estimates.
  • Develop detailed budgets for Winter Sessions and World Premiere events.
  • Provide T&E and staffing estimates to support both US and Canadian tour logistics.
  • Tour Logistics & Materials:
  • Manage tour routing and secure 2027 holds, with a goal of locking the first half of the year by November.
  • Oversee World Premiere (WP) licensing and contracts.
  • Create 2026 promotional and operational materials based on 2025 templates.
  • Research and secure training spaces for staff and crews.
  • Historical Activation & Content:
  • Develop a Warren Miller (WM) history activation for five crews, including rare items and signage.
  • Collaborate with OTV to create a loop of legacy content.
  • Curate and edit Warren’s audio clips; explore AI-generated voice options to enhance booth engagement.
