Position Summary Snapdragon Stadium Tour Guides are responsible for leading stadium tours in an informative and engaging manner. This is a part-time, hourly position with tours scheduled on weekdays and select Saturday and Sundays. About the Venue Snapdragon Stadium is a 35,000-seat multipurpose venue that serves as the home for San Diego State University football, San Diego Wave FC (NWSL soccer), San Diego Football Club (MLS Soccer), major concerts and festivals, professional sports, motorsports, international soccer, high school sports, entertainment events and private special events.
Requirements
- A minimum education level of High School Diploma or its equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service role. Prior experience conducting tours for private, public, or special events preferred.
- Strong public speaking and communication skills.
- Must be comfortable standing or remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
- Comfortable working with a variety of groups, families, and children.
- Must be available for a minimum of three days each week, to include one weekend day.
- Professional image and demeanor.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience conducting tours for private, public, or special events preferred.
- Bilingual is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service for guest attending tours.
- Welcome each visitor in a courteous manner as they begin their tour.
- Have visitors go through security checkpoint.
- Be knowledgeable about all parts of Snapdragon Stadium that are on the tour route and in tour script.
- Lead tour group in a safe way and ensuring everyone remains safe for duration of tour.
- Recognize potential hazards and observe appropriate precautions.
- Project a friendly, approachable, and professional attitude.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
