About The Position
WorldStrides is the global leader in educational travel and experiential learning, founded in 1967 to provide middle school travel programs to Washington, D.C. As a Tour Guide/Course Leader, you will play a crucial role in delivering these transformative experiences. The position is seasonal, with a specific focus on the busy spring months from March through June. The role requires individuals who are available for this time frame and can handle the fast-paced nature of the programs, which often involve several miles of walking each day in various weather conditions while managing groups of up to 55 students. The majority of the travelers are 8th-graders, and Course Leaders must engage students in interactive learning to enhance their educational experience. WorldStrides is committed to providing a supportive environment for its Course Leaders, including 24-hour emergency assistance through the WorldStrides On-Call service, coordination and security assistance at hotels, and innovative professional development opportunities. Each group receives a detailed and customized itinerary, ensuring that the experience is well-organized and enjoyable.
