About The Position

The Tour Driver at Daytona International Speedway is responsible for conducting guided tours of the facility, ensuring guest safety, and providing an informative and engaging experience. This part-time role involves driving various vehicles, preparing trams for tours, and assisting guests with special needs while promoting knowledge of NASCAR and motorsports.

Requirements

• CDL Class C required
• Passenger endorsement preferred
• Clean driving record (verifiable by company background check)
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 60lbs
• Ability to work in all weather elements

Nice To Haves

• Foreign language skills (French, Spanish, German, etc.)
• CPR/Defibrillation course

Responsibilities

• Conduct Daytona International Speedway Tours in a professional and informative manner
• Ensure safety of guests
• Prepare trams at the start of the shift, checking fuel, oil, water, and other fluids
• Assist guests with special needs and ensure ADA compliance
• Complete necessary paperwork including guest log sheets and incident reports
• Memorize and deliver various tour script narratives to guests
• Drive multi-unit trams, pickup trucks, and a 28 passenger bus for tours
• Drive pick-up truck with Featherlite Tram for NASCAR Racing Experience guests
• Operate walkie-talkie radio in a professional manner
• Enhance guest's knowledge of NASCAR and Daytona International Speedway
• Assist in training of new staff
• Report any safety conditions or items in need of attention
• Work during events with Daytona International Speedway for Event Tram Operations
