Job Title: Touch Up Painter Employee Type: Full Time, Hourly Reports to: Processing Manager Job Location: Wichita, KS, USA Shift Hours: 2nd Shift; 2:00pm - 10:30pm, Monday-Friday Pay Rate: $16.00 - $18.00, dependent upon relative experience Shift Differential: $0.75/hr in addition to hourly rate Experience: 1+ year experience preferred with application of primer, fuel cell and top coat

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must have 1+ year experience with application of primer, fuel cell and top coat, preferred
  • Previous experience in aerospace manufacturing environment, preferred
  • Must be self-motivated and produce quality work
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and good communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and produce quality work
  • Excellent attendance and positive attitude is required
  • Team player attitude

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year experience with application of primer, fuel cell and top coat
  • Previous experience in aerospace manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to thoroughly follow instructions and be attentive to details
  • Touch up primers and top coats to Mil specs on multiple surface types
  • Mask and de-mask parts as required
  • Mix paints per manufactures specs
  • Prep parts prior to painting including masking, sanding, and cleaning
  • Complete work flow documentation thoroughly and properly
  • Inspect results of paint applied
  • Inspection: Knowledge of the expected response and appearance of the material being painted
  • Clean and repair paint equipment and keep work area organized
  • Wear proper safety equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures at all times
  • Keep work area clean
  • Assist other departments as necessary
