The Tote Repair Technician is responsible for inspecting, cleaning, repairing, and maintaining intermediate bulk containers (IBCs/totes) to ensure they meet company standards for reuse. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • 1-2 years of experience in an industrial environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Unrestricted employment authorization to work in the US
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain a forklift certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical labor
  • Project a professional appearance with the ability to represent our company in a positive manner to our customers and associates
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations

  • Mechanical aptitude and basic repair experience

Responsibilities

  • Inspect returned totes for damage, wear, or contamination
  • Clean totes using appropriate tools and chemicals, following safety and environmental procedures
  • Repair damaged cages, valves, lids, gaskets, and other components
  • Replace or reassemble parts to ensure totes are leak-free and structurally sound
  • Perform pressure/leak tests as needed
  • Document repairs, part replacements, and inspections in maintenance logs or tracking software
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Operate equipment such as hand tools, air compressors, and forklifts (if certified)
  • Follow all safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and standard operating procedures
  • Communicate with team leads or supervisors regarding inventory needs or recurring repair issues
  • Assist with other warehouse or maintenance tasks as assigned
