The Comfort Group in Nashville is currently seeking an experienced Total Station (Trimble) Operator to join our team. This position is crucial for the accurate layout and physical coordination of plumbing and HVAC points, equipment points, sleeves, and inserts on various construction sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all layout work is performed with precision and in accordance with project specifications. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can work effectively within a team environment and is willing to adhere to all jobsite rules and regulations. As a Total Station Operator, you will be expected to accurately layout points, collect data, and perform basic mathematical calculations to ensure quality checks during the construction phase of a project. You will also be required to install hanger inserts, block outs, or sleeves, and any other project markers as needed. Effective communication is essential, as you will need to relay plans, reports, and project needs to the Superintendent, Site Foreman, and Direct Office Supervisor regularly. Additionally, you will provide technical support to project managers, field personnel, estimators, and clients, maintaining a high level of accuracy, productivity, and safety in a variety of working conditions. The role demands the ability to coordinate and perform work while managing stress and jobsite demands. Proper care and maintenance of the Trimble unit and all associated equipment is also a key responsibility, along with the proficient use of all layout equipment. This position offers a dynamic work environment where your skills and contributions will directly impact the success of our projects.
