The Total Rewards/Communications Assistant is a temporary, full-time position at the University of Miami, responsible for assisting in the creation and execution of communication materials and campaigns. The role involves maintaining databases, preparing reports, and performing general administrative tasks to support the department's communication efforts.

  • Assists in creating communication materials, such as web content, fact sheets, emails, and other messaging tools.
  • Supports the planning and execution of communication campaigns.
  • Provides suggestions to address straightforward issues.
  • Maintains logs of contact information and discussion topics for tracking purposes.
  • Updates and organizes information databases, and assists in tracking and reporting the progress of communication goals.
  • Prepares simple reports and shares them with department leadership.
  • Helps with basic administrative tasks related to the department's communication budget.
  • Performs general office duties, including scheduling meetings, maintaining organized files, answering phones, managing correspondence, and ordering office supplies as needed.
  • Follows University and department policies and procedures and ensures proper handling of University resources.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure.
  • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
