Torque & Test Technician

About The Position

The Test and Torque Technician will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and reliability of oil field equipment, maintaining well locations, and performing various tasks associated with the efficient and safe operation required for wellsite intervention. The Torque and Test Technician is responsible for the make-up of BOP equipment connection and pressure testing BOP equipment.

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
Minimum one (1) year experience as a test and torque operator or similar position
Familiarity with P.D. pressure pumps 0-25,000 psi, portable units, test cabins, fill pumps, incline water fillers, etc.
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must have valid state issued driver's license
Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate effectively with team members, leadership, and customers
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
DOT certified test reports
Basic knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Must complete and pass all required pre-employment screenings

Responsibilities

Perform hydrostatic testing to pressurize the system through the use of a liquid such as water
Perform test pipes, pipelines, and vessels to expose defective materialsPressure test mission-critical in all oil and gas instances to ensure safety and maintain proper functioning of equipment
Operate company equipment in a safe and efficient manner to meet safety sensitive functions according to Company standards
Drive required equipment safely to and from location
Install, remove, and test Production and Drilling BOP's
Install, remove, and test wellhead equipment
Adhere to all company policy and procedure, guidelines, and SOPs
Travel up to 75% to remote job sites
Other duties as assigned
