About The Position

The Torch Operator position at The Bradbury Co., Inc. involves supporting the CNC plasma cutting table by performing essential tasks such as deburring, sanding, and cleaning torch parts. Requirements

• Successful completion of related coursework at a trade or technical school in welding is preferred.
• Experience in a weld shop is required.
• Strong related work history is necessary.
• Basic mechanical aptitude is required.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Nice To Haves

• Able to use and understand all weld measuring instruments, such as tape measure, calipers, protractor, combination squares, and weld gauges.
• Basic math skills are preferred.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, bills of material, setup sheets, etc.
• Able to operate welders and other machinery with little or no supervision.

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and tools needed to perform the support function.
• Lay out, position, and handle parts to be cleaned in a safe manner.
• Label parts, skids, and organize to ensure safe handling during transport.
• Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and cleaning parts.
• Operate forklifts, overhead hoists, and other equipment as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
