About The Position

The position involves preparing project planning that includes work scopes, responsible matrix, manhours, software requirements, and interface matrix. The candidate will prepare a Master Document List (MDL) for overall piping design related work scopes with forecast dates based on the Master Project Schedule. The role requires aligning piping design input data and need dates with respective stakeholders to define the piping design output forecast date. Responsibilities also include reviewing and monitoring project budgets related to piping, leading a group of piping engineers and designers, and ensuring compliance with project requirements. The candidate will also be responsible for monitoring design input needs, 3D model clashes, and ensuring proper communication between teams.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of piping engineering related working experience.
  • Experience in Offshore/Shipyard projects, Rig building/Ship building.
  • Experience in FPSO projects, both topsides and marine.
  • Good knowledge in Topside Piping Design and Planning.
  • Good knowledge in International Standards related to Piping such as ASME, ASTM, API.
  • Min. Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Good skill in Excel.
  • Experience with 2D applications such as AutoCAD.
  • Experience with 3D modeling applications such as Smart Plant, Aveva, Cadmatic.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare project planning including work scopes, responsible matrix, manhours, and software requirements.
  • Prepare Master Document List (MDL) for piping design work scopes with forecast dates.
  • Align piping design input data and need dates with stakeholders.
  • Review and monitor project budget related to piping.
  • Lead a group of piping engineers and designers for project execution.
  • Monitor engineering design progress related to piping work scopes.
  • Prepare and raise technical queries and engineering variation orders related to piping.
  • Align piping design outputs with construction teams.
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements and technical quality.
  • Monitor P&ID revisions and compliance with the latest piping 3D model.
  • Monitor design input needs and data required for piping design.
  • Monitor 3D model clashes and design review comments.
  • Monitor piping procurement status and surplus material.
  • Ensure proper communication between piping stress team and pipe routine designers.
  • Review and comment on piping arrangement, isometric, and pipe support drawings.
  • Interface with vendors and other discipline leads.
  • Provide support to piping construction and QA/QC activities.
