Syntelligent is seeking a Toponymist Analyst with a TS/SCI clearance for an immediate opening available with a government customer in Springfield, VA! Work Location: NGA-Wash (NCE), in-office only Security Clearance: TS/SCI, with a willingness to obtain a CI Polygraph.

Requirements

• High School diploma and 5 years of relevant military or full-time geospatial professional experience.
• High School diploma and 4 years of experience plus GPC Level I and II certification.
• Relevant bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience.
• ILR Skill Level Two certification for reading (DLPT5 2/2) in the language and a minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience.
• Experience using ArcGIS or GeoMedia Pro.
• Experience creating shapefiles, geo-databases, and utilizing various types of maps for extraction and comparison.

• Specific experience processing geographic names following agency policies and procedures.
• Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to multitask and deliver quality products within specified timelines.
• Ability to work well as part of a team effort.
• BA degree and 2 - 4 years of prior relevant experience or master's with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Scan and geo-reference hardcopy maps.
• Research and order geospatial data sources and commercial imagery to use as reference sources.
• Conflate georeferenced maps and imagery with the GNDB.
• Interpret and apply national and international policies governing the treatment of geographic names.
