About The Position

The Top Secret ISSM position involves managing information systems and ensuring cybersecurity compliance for a major client in McLean, VA. The role focuses on collaborating with the Facility Security Officer (FSO) and leadership to develop security policies, manage cybersecurity risk, and respond to incidents. The ISSM will also oversee systems monitoring and vulnerability management to maintain a secure environment.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Risk Management Framework (RMF), Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), ISO 27000 series, ICD, and CNSS with the federal government.
• 5+ years of experience in Information System Security Officer (ISSO) or Information System Security Manager (ISSM) roles, managing security policies, audits, and authorizations.
• Proficient in Windows/Linux operating systems, virtualization, TCP/IP, and security benchmarks.
• Knowledgeable in encryption, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and compliance/vulnerability tools such as SCAP, ACAS, and eMASS.
• CISSP or CISM certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the FSO and leadership to manage information systems.
• Ensure cybersecurity accreditations and authorizations are maintained.
• Develop and improve security policies and procedures to support compliance and business functions.
• Lead cybersecurity risk management activities, including systems monitoring and vulnerability management.
• Investigate security incidents and report findings to relevant managers.
• Coordinate with various teams to implement and maintain cybersecurity controls and secure development practices.
