About The Position

The Home Team provides the foundation that enables an entire ecosystem of secure and intelligent home connectivity. We are developing technologies and building experiences that revolutionize the way people harmonize with their Homes. Our goals are simple but the task is large; craft the most amazing home automation experience in the world that our customers will love. The Home QE team is seeking a highly motivated Tools and Automation Engineer who is passionate about quality and developing world class tooling and automation. You will build robust automation to help with the qualification of Home features running across all our products, work cross functionally to implement changes, and crafting benchmarks and tools to help streamline the process. We are seeking an experienced engineer that can help develop automation and tooling to improve the Apple Home Ecosystem.

Requirements

• Proven track record of leading quality or automation efforts for an end-to-end product or feature
• Expertise of tools and techniques for analyzing and benchmarking of operating systems, application/algorithm performance
• Experience with Swift/Objective-C or XCTest

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of AI/ML
• Experience with audio/video testing

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test cases to validate new Apple Home features
• Develop automated tests using XCTest and tooling to manage and expand CI/CD lab infrastructure
• Collaborate cross functionally with development and QE teams across different sites and timezones
• Lead quality or automation efforts for an end-to-end product or feature
• Analyze and benchmark operating systems, application/algorithm performance
