About The Position

The Tool Room Lead is an opportunity to work within the warehouse, which is a direct support branch to field operations in regard to tooling, PPE, deliveries and light office maintenance. As a full-service electrical provider, we offer industry leading electrical transmission, commercial and industrial, and renewable energy services. Sturgeon Electric has two divisions, offering both powerline construction and commercial/industrial electrical construction, making it a full-service electrical provider. Sturgeon Electric’s Commercial and Industrial (C&I) electrical construction division specializes in large-scale commercial electrical projects, telecommunications, traffic signalization, gas distribution, high voltage distribution service and maintenance to clients. We also offer design-build and pre-construction services and has in-house pre-fabrication and AutoCAD capabilities.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • 3+ years of warehouse experience preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with tool/material tracking databases
  • Self-driven, timely, and organized
  • Basic computer skills, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Proven ability to read labels, follow instructions and safety protocols
  • Ability to travel occasionally to various locations in the district
  • Team-oriented and a self-starter

Responsibilities

  • Loads or unloads operations equipment with proper tooling for lineman
  • Plans various tasks to support operations
  • Consistent repair of tooling and testing of various overhead line tooling
  • Leads warehouse staff on small engine repair endeavors such as generators
  • Responsible for tool inspection and inventory
  • Completes various impromptu maintenance projects within the District Office as requested
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Essential functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field location
  • Understand and comply with the Company's Corporate Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards
