About The Position

Toolmaker experience. Job Description: Responsibilities · Reads blueprints or other specifications to determine work requirements and set up machines for production of standard parts. · Operates basic equipment such as grinders, lathes, milling machines, drills, boring machines, presses, punches, brakes, and shears. · Performs preventative maintenance on tools/equipment as needed. · Reports defective equipment to supervisor. · Maintains good housekeeping practices and safety standards. · Ensures adherence to quality standards. · Utilizes computer software programs to run CNC equipment. Required Skills and Education Qualifications · Ability to read and interpret blueprints. · Knowledge of machine shop processes preferred. · Ability to use hand and air tools safely and efficiently. · Experience operating basic equipment preferred. · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required. · Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions required. · Basic math skills required. · Computer literacy preferred.
