Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED.
• Must have attained Greene Tweed & Co. Toolmaker Level 1 or Equivalent, as determined by management.
• Must have spent two years minimum in the Tool Maintenance Machinist role before being eligible to bid on this job.
• Must be proficient with operating computers, including searching, saving, and editing files.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of standard and CNC metalworking machines, grinders and hand tools to manufacture molds, dies, fixtures, cutting tools and gauges.
• Comply with all federal and state environmental, health and safety regulations as well as any safety policies and protocols outlined by the company.
• Ability to read G-Code and operate CNC equipment.
• Fabricate tooling examples using appropriate machines and machining techniques.
• Check blueprints and make mathematical calculations necessary to correct or complete tooling.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all types of tools.
• Inspect tool for wear and damage and make recommendations for repairs.
• Record all information on GT data collection system as required.
• Use of the wire EDM to make cutting tools necessary to make production molds.
• Perform 5S functions, including keeping fluids at recommended levels and ensuring tools are properly placed and clean.
