About The Position

This position will perform final mold assembly work – review and analyze repair work to meet company demands. Position provides detailed and timely information to help achieve company goals and initiatives

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required and/or certification from associated trade school
  • 7+ years of experience
  • Ability to complete final assembly on complex tooling unsupervised
  • Capable of managing workflow for individual tool builds.
  • Ability to work to very tight tolerances (.0002”) on square and round components
  • Measure with tool makers instruments
  • Basic computer skills required
  • CAD/CAM software knowledge
  • Injection mold wiring knowledge
  • Ability to read, write and verbally communicate clearly
  • Ability to read and understand 3-D files and 2D prints
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have good vision
  • Must have manual dexterity
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Repetitive motions are required
  • Requires frequent bending, squatting, and twisting motions
  • Must be able to climb stepladders
  • Must be able to climb up and down stairs
  • Must be available for overtime as needed
  • Ensure that all safety procedures are followed
  • Ensure that all equipment safeties are not altered or defeated.

Responsibilities

  • Perform final mold assembly on new tool builds
  • Manage assigned tool builds ensuring smooth workflow between departments
  • Traditional machining techniques (lathes, mills, surface grinder, centerless grinders, and CNC machines)
  • Diagnose production tool issues for repair
  • Perform mold maintenance per PM program as required
  • Attend mold samples as required
  • Utilize computer software for geometry examinations, review and interrogation for manufacture
  • Maintain quality standards of company
  • Attend design reviews and provide design input as required
  • Maintain communication with other departments to ensure smooth workflow
  • Work toward meeting or improving delivery dates
  • Maintain flexibility in working within other areas of toolshop as requested
  • Ensure all department documentation is completed using proper Good Document Practices
  • Ensure all proper manufacturing procedures are followed
  • Maintain a clean & safe work area
  • Work scheduled hours, including Overtime initiatives, as requested
  • Maintain machine and other company equipment in good working order
  • Help to maintain positive attitude within the department
  • Other duties as assigned
